Captivate, a location-based digital video network, announced the promotion of Barb Huggett to senior vice president of advertising sales and general manager of Canada and the promotion of Lorenzo Papa as executive vice president of advertising sales for the U.S.

Huggett brings more than 20 years of media manager digital signage strategy, new business development and client relations experience from top corporations including Y&R, TBWA and McCann Canada, according to a company press release. At Captivate, Huggett has held senior sales roles, including director of business development and vice president of advertising sales, Canada. In her new role, Huggett will lead the company’s strategy for advertising sales and real estate sales in Canada.

Papa has nearly 20 years of advertising and business development experience. He has contributed significantly to Captivate’s success during his tenure, holding progressively senior sales roles, including director of business development, managing director of U.S. sales and vice president of advertising sales, the release said. Over the past two years, he has managed the expansion of the Northeast sales team. As executive vice president, Papa will oversee the strategy and business of the entire U.S. advertising signage sales effort.

«Lorenzo is a strong addition to the executive team,» Kidd said. «He has lead our NY team, mentored the staff and helped contribute to our double digit revenue growth while leading by example through his sales expertise and commitment to client relations and service.»

This leadership change also includes the addition of Neil Shapiro as vice president of digital signage sales, a new position, according to the release. Shapiro brings knowledge of the digital and mobile landscapes from brands including Ubermedia, Shazam, The Huffington Post, IMDB.com, AOL and Sony Pictures. He will oversee the digital sales and programmatic business for Captivate, including strategic partnerships through agency trading desks and digital investment teams.
